Senior Pictures

We got up early and took senior pictures of Emmery this morning. Chilly, but the sunrise was worth it. Railroad tracks and bridge were windy, slash, COLD! The rest of the shots were taken in and around Verrado's town square. Emmery has a GREAT smile. Post production on these shots limited to minor tweaks in Lightroom. Thanks to Emmery's mom, and my lovely wife Sheri for keeping us on track, (pun intended)! Railroad shots using off camera 580EXII's on a stick, fired using Canon st-2e trigger. Most of the shots at Verrado, 580EXII with RayFlash ring-light to soften the light.

Salad & a Sandwich please

I had an opportunity to take some product shots of food today. The cafe in Fry's Electronics where I work is redoing their menu, using fresher ingredients, and offering more upscale salads, and sandwiches. Everything looked and tasted EXCELLENT! Click on the title to see more pictures. Strobists info: Canon 30D f8 @ 1/100 sec. ISO 200. 580EX on camera for fill @ 1/64 power & 2ea 580EXII's @ 1/32 power with white shoot through umbrella's on either side.

Recent Engagement Photos (e-session)

On Sunday Sept. 21, I met with Chris, and Lisa, a fun couple, who just got engaged. Its an exciting time for both of them and their families. We took a trip out to the Mesa, Arizona Morman Temple grounds, and took some engagement pictures. I was mildly disappointed that most of the reflection pools now had water features, that kept the water moving, and NOT reflecting. Other than that the session went rather well. As always the grounds were very well groomed, and afforded lots of areas to shoot in. Pictures shot with a Canon 30D, 17-85mm IS, 28-135mm IS, and 2ea 580ex strobes, off camera on stands. Here a few of my favorite. More to follow on my website "e-session" gallery.

Cemal & Jamie

Click on header to see more

Here are a couple of shots from Cemal & Jamie's wedding from Monday 8/25/08. I was a second shooter with my friend Steve Evers. It was fun working with Steve.

Steve working hard.
Steve is very good with getting everyone involved when he is "posing" for formals. He had everyone (including the uncle Bob's) doing what he wanted them to do, and all laughing, too. No mean feat. I learned a lot.

LillyGirl

Monday we shot a dog. LillyGirl. Follow link for more pictures. 2-580ex speedlights, on stands, with umbrellas. Wireless trigger: Canon st-2e. Lilly's still a pup, and she did a great job of not jumping on the equipment. Everything else was fair game......
